Hi, I’m Stephen Thomas, the founder of W&L Consulting. With over a decade of experience in accounting and financial strategy, I’ve dedicated my career to helping churches, nonprofits, and small businesses gain the financial clarity they need to lead with confidence and purpose.
Before launching W&L Consulting, I spent half my career as an auditor, specializing in a range of small businesses—both nonprofit and for-profit. That foundation gave me a unique view into the financial struggles and missed opportunities many organizations face simply because they lack the right systems or support.
As a trustee of my own church, I witnessed firsthand how difficult it was to lead financially during a pastoral transition. That’s when I realized how many churches and ministries were still relying on outdated processes—and how much clarity could be gained through modern, cloud-based accounting solutions.
I founded W&L Consulting to serve that need.
Today, I specialize in working with churches, daycares, retail businesses, and telecom companies, helping them implement real-time accounting systems, improve reporting, and make smarter financial decisions with confidence.
At the core of everything I do is a faith-driven and results-driven philosophy. I believe that financial stewardship is a calling—and that every organization, no matter the size, deserves tools that support their mission.
I live in Alabama with my beautiful wife, Hannah, and our two incredible children, Warren and Leighton, who inspire me every day to lead with integrity, purpose, and heart.
